"Doin' It In The Park" ist eine Doku über New York und seine legendären Basketball-Plätze, wie zum Beispiel "The Cage" in Greenwhich Village. Zu Wort kommen viele illustre Charaktere, die einiges zu erzählen haben. Gedreht wurde der Film unter anderem von Bobbito Garcia der unter anderem als DJ Cucumber Slice, als fanatischer Sneaker-Sammler und Mitglied der Rock Steady Crew bekannt ist. "Tokyo Rising" ist der Name dieser Dokumentar-Serie, in welcher einschlägige Stars durch Tokyo führen, dabei Freunde und Bekannte vorstellen und die sonst recht ferne Perspektive etwas näher bringen. Gerade nach dem Tsunami und der nuklearen Katastrophe im Anschluss ist es interessant ein paar Eindrücke von dort zu bekommen. “Palladium’s core message is about urban exploring and putting your boots on to find out what’s beyond the tourist guidebook,” said Barney Waters, vice president of marketing for Palladium. “Tokyo is one of the great cities of the world and we felt there was a whole layer of the city’s story that wasn’t being told in the aftermath of the natural disaster of 3/11. Das "Isle Of Man TT" ist das älteste und eines der legendärsten und gefährlichsten Motorradrennen der Welt, welches seit 1907 ausgetragen und seit 1911 auf dem 60,7 km langen Snaefell Mountain Course auf öffentlichen Straßen stattfindet. Die Doku "TT3D - Closer To The Edge", die in 3D gedreht wurde, berichtet über dieses Rennen, über die Fahrer und deren Motivation, daran teilzunehmen und über das Publikum, welches entweder hinnehmen muss, dass die verrückten mit ihren Mopeds fast durch den eigenen heimischen Vorgarten heizen oder sich freiwillig an die Straße stellt, um den Nervenkitzel zu genießen, wenn jemand an einem auf seinem Feuerross mit 250 km/h am Zebrastreifen vorbei explodiert. Die Doku wird von Jared Leto und kommt im April in die amerikanischen Kinos. Einen deutschen Releasetermin gibt es noch nicht. Heute wäre J Dilla 37 Jahre alt geworden. Brian B.Kyle Atkins war so freundlich zu diesem Anlass seine Doku "Still Shining" zu veröffentlichen, die Konzertmitschnitte, Fotos und viele Künstler aus seinem Umfeld präsentiert, "Created in 2006, this remembrance piece is created as a tribute to the memory and legacy of James “J.Dilla” Yancey. This is a piece designed for his fans and supporters who knew of his accomplishments before February 2006 and those that have grown to appreciate his genius. Ich kann nicht behaupten, dass ich in meinem Leben jemals ein großer Freund des Rennsports gewesen bin. Aber selbst mit dieser ignoranten Haltung kam ich als Kind nicht um Ayrton Senna vorbei. Eine Formel Eins Legende, bei dessen Name zu seinen Lebzeiten schon klar war, dass er in die Historie eingehen wird, was er dann leider auch nach seinem viel zu frühen Tod auf der Rennstrecke mit 34 Jahren getan hat. Asif Kapadia hat dem Leben des dreifachen brasilianischen Formel Eins Gewinners die Doku "Senna" gewidment. "The story of the monumental life and tragic death of legendary Brazilian motor-racing Champion, Ayrton Senna. Spanning the decade from his arrival in Formula One in the mid 80′s, the film follows Senna’s struggles both on track against his nemesis, French World Champion Alain Prost, and off it, against the politics which infest the sport.
