Das ich so’n Ding für Sneaker habe, wisst ihr vermutlich bereits. Auch von den Lacoste Turbos, einer meiner liebsten Sneaker, habe ich euch schon berichtet. Schade nur das die schon vor einiger Zeit eingestellt wurden. Im Mai gab es die Nachricht, dass es neue Stealth Chevels geben würde, die den Turbos vom Schnitt her ähneln. Was daraus geworden weiß ich gar nicht, das muss geprüft werden.
Nun macht Lacoste gemeinsame Sache mit einem der begehrtesten Labels, zumindest was Sammler-Artefakte angeht. Stones Throw Chef Peanut Butter Wolf designt einen Chevel Sneaker.
Über Stones Throws etwas überzogene Limited-Edition Politik und die damit verbundenen Preise habe ich mich schon des öfteren beschwert. In diesem Fall finde 160$ allerdings okay, der übliche ST-Sammler-Rabatt wird ausnahmsweise weggelassen. Vielleicht kommt ja noch eine Limited Edition mit Instrumentals (wovon auch immer dazu), dann allerdings für 240$?

Materials & Design: Stones Throw’s sneaker is full grain leather upper with textile detailing – a tongue crafted from petit piqué cotton, incorporating a woven Lacoste-branded tab finished with a mother-of-pearl button, referencing the intricate detailing found on the L.12.12 Polo.
