Sommer Mixtapes haben Saison und das endlich auch zurecht. Es ist heiss Freunde. Zeit den Grill anzuschmeissen und die kalten Getränke zu geniessen. Diese 3 Mixes sind der perfekte Soundtrack für alle open air Aktivitäten, die ihr heute und morgen noch so vorhaben könntet. Die Cookin Soul Dudes haben einen wunderbar entspannten Soul Mix, Pretty Boy kommt mit entspannten kontemporärem Swagger, während Djanzy sich eher im Latin Funk austobt. Alle 3 sehr verschieden und doch sehr passend zu diesem Wetter.
90s Rap Mixtape von Cookin‘ Soul
In ihrem 90s Rap Mix haben Cookin Soul eine exzellente Auswahl an Songs der goldenen Zeit des Rap verwurstet. Ich habe mich besonders über Tunes wie "Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka" von Heltah Skeltah und Bahamadia mit "Uknowhowwedu" gefreut. Leider ist der Mix bisher nicht als Download verfügbar, der Stream lohnt sich aber durchaus.

Neulich hatten wir Nas mit seinem Auftritt beim Coachella, während dessen er das komplette Album performte, heute gibt's "Illmatic" im Remix von Cookin Soul. Ein Mixtape das ich euch ungehört empfehlen kann, den Download ebenfalls. -> “In 2014, 20 years after its release, Illmatic is still considered as arguably the best hip-hop album of all times. Our intention when creating “Soulmatic” was not to just remix Illmatic album as such. Actually Soulmatic only contains 4 remixes from the original album… Also we have added a number of musical skits including comments, feelings and experiences from those who created the original album.
