Freediving nennt sich die Sportart in der Guillaume Nery der Champion du Monde ist. Er taucht nur mit Maske und Wetsuit bewaffnet in das tiefste blaue Loch der Welt namens „Deans Blue Hole“ auf den Bahamas. Begleitet wird er von Julie Gautier und ihrer Canon 5D Mark II. Julie selbst ist französischer Champion im Atem anhalten. Ihr merkt schon, meisterliche Kombinationen treffen in rekordverdächtiger Manier aufeinander und so sieht der Clip fühlt sich der Clip auch an.

Passenderweise heisst das Video „Free Fall“ und obwohl unter Wasser gedreht, stellt sich die Optik des freien Falls ins ungewisse Dunkle schnell ein.

With my boyfriend Guillaume NERY we’ve decided to use our time during a freediving competition at Dean’s Blue Hole (deepest blue hole in the world) to make a short movie. Since a long time Guillaume wanted to make the link beween three elements : air, earth, water. Our goal was to emphasise on esthetic images and innovative camera moves. Enjoy.

Referring to different comments on the net and in order to set this back in context, I want to specify that this movie is a fiction. We did shot all the scenes into the hole but didn’t go to the bottom. We mainly wanted to move away from the performance and to light on the artistic potentiel of this discipline. This production required us 4 afternoones of shooting. All shoots have been taken in breath hold and with one camera. The script and edition is the resul of our work and imagination.
