Barry „Magoo“ McGuigan war der lebende Beweis: Surfing hält fit.

Er starb im letzten Jahr an Krebs, surfte aber bis ans Ende und nahm auch immer noch an Wettkämpfen teil.

Ein total cooler Typ und Veteran des Bondi Beach, dem legendären Surfspot in Australien, den jeder Touri und Backpacker kennt. Dort surfte er seit Mitte der 40er Jahre. Das muss man sich mal auf der Zunge zergehen lassen.
