Produzent Scott Storch ist in den letzten Jahren etwas unter gegangen. Es gab den oder anderen Skandal, Blamagen in der Öffentlichkeit und die Insolvenz. Danach wurde es etwas stiller um seine Person. In diesem Portrait erzählt er relativ ausführlich von seinem Werdegang als Keyboarder und Produzent. Schon In seinen Teenager Jahren lernte er Ahmir „Questlove“ Thompson und Leonard „Hub“ Hubbard kennen. Die drei gründeten eine Rhythmusgruppe, die wenig später als The Roots einen Plattenvertrag bei Geffen Records unterzeichnete und sehr bald einen Ruf als beste Live Kombo im HipHop bekam.

Seine ersten kommerziell wirklich erfolgreichen Co-Produktionen waren Erykah Badus You Got Me und Dr Dres Still Dre, beide im Jahr 1999. In den folgenden Jahren zeichnete er unter anderem verantwortlich für folgende Hits:
