Der Bobbitwurm (Eunice aphroditois) könnte ganz easy die Vorlage für alle kommenden Alien-Filme sein. Er wird bis zu 3 Meter lang, vergräbt sich im Sand und wartet auf Beute. Kommt etwas Fressbares vorbei, schnappt er zu und zieht es sofort unter die Sandoberfläche um es dort zu verspeisen.
Stellt Euch mal vor, so einer mutiert und wird 10 Meter lang. Der frisst uns locker beim Baden weg.

I was patiently filming a couple that were close together and my waiting paid off…..the first Bobbit Worm attacks and eats a foolish Scorpionfish that wandered in too close…
…the second went for a Long Arm Octopus that got too close….I was quite upset, as I Love octopuses, but luckily the plucky little octopus was too tough for the bobbit Worm and escaped after a few seconds..
