Erst vor 2-3 Jahren entwickelte sich ein winzig kleiner Skateboarding Mikrokosmos in Palästina. Die beiden Filmemacher Theo Krish und Philip Joa haben eine Gruppe aus 6 Skatern durch ihren Alltag begleitet, der von dem Versuch geprägt ist, eine lokale Szene zu etablieren. Ungeachtet der schwierigen politischen Verhältnisse und überhaupt nicht vorhandener Infrastruktur.

„Epicly Palestine’d“ weckt automatisch Erinnerungen an „Dogtown & Z-Boys„, wenn der Vergleich auch hinkt, so ist die geleistet Pionierarbeit, doch ähnlich.

From Qalqilya to Bethlehem via Ramallah, the film follows six skateboarders, as they attempt to build a skate scene from scratch whilst facing the challenges of living under occupation.
