Letzte Woche präsentierte DJ Shusta den ersten Teil der „Golden Remix Era„, nun legt niemand geringerer als Freundeskreis DJ Friction nach. Wie schon bei Nummer liegt auch hier der Fokus auf den B-Seiten und Remixes der 12″.
Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Keith Murray und EPMD sind dabei, um nur einige zu nennen.
Der kommende dritte Teil wird übigensvon DJ Emilio kommen.
-> 90s Golden Era Rap, only this time it’s all about the remixes, the b-sides, or the forgotten alternative version. In some cases the remix became more popular than the original or was released as the main version but i mostly choose the lesser known remixes.
Most tracks i selected are from 1990-1996 and my focus was on the more jazzy and soulful remixes. Pete Rock, The Beatminerz, Buckwild, Donald D or DJ Premier where some of the major players when it came to those remixes.
