Kürzlich hat der gemeinnützige Verein namens New Story aus San Francisco ein komplett ausdruckbares Haus vorgestellt. Das 3D Home ist für Entwicklungs- und Schwellenländer gedacht. Es kostet 4000$ in der Herstellung inklusive Montage und ist in nur 24 Stunden fertig aufgebaut. Ziemlich stark! Die erste ausgedruckte und nachhaltige Wohnsiedlung wurde bereits in El Salavador aufgebaut, es sollen weitere folgen.
