Am 21.04.17 erscheint mit Motor City ein neues Album mit 19 unveröffentlichten Beats von J Dilla, die Mutter Yancey aus ihrem Basement gekramt hat. Natürlich gibt’s dazu auch ein Deluxe Paket mit 7″, T-Shirt undundund. Meine Gefühle bezüglich eines neuen Dilla Releases schwanken immer zwischen Freude auf neue dope Beats und latenter Genervtheit weil es sich anfühlt, wie Leichenfledderei.

J-Rocc hat in diesem kurzen Teaser 3 der Beats mit Acappellas von Biggie, Nas und Kendrick Lamar gemixt. Die 3 Minuten machen Lust auf mehr, das kann man nicht anders sagen.

The late, great J Dilla is widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time. Since his death in 2006, Dilla’s mother Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancey has worked tirelessly to further her son’s legacy, and her latest effort is the new release Motor City. To celebrate the release, Dilla’s close friend J Rocc (a world-renown DJ and founder of the Beat Junkies)put together a series of blends featuring the newly unearthed instrumentals on Motor City.
