In der ersten von vier Episoden behandelt er die offentsichtlichste Form des Samplings, nämlich in musikalischen Inhalten. Vom Ursprung des Samplings, was in so manchem Fall auch als Ideen-klauerei bezeichnet werden könnte, bis zu moderner Musik, die im Prinzip ohne Sampling nicht das wäre, was man heute zu hören gewohnt ist.
